Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions founders actually ask.
The Growth Program typically involves a one-time Setup investment of around €25,000, followed by an ongoing monthly Heartbeat investment of roughly €3,000–€4,000. Exact figures depend on your market and the size of your leadership team, and we confirm them in your first conversation. There's no equity, no lock-in, and no fixed contract, the Heartbeat is a month-to-month partnership. If it's working, we keep going. If it isn't, you can stop.
The Growth Program asks your leadership team for roughly 10% of its time, because you don't gain time by avoiding structure, you gain it by installing it. That's time spent working on the business, not just in it: the rhythm replaces meetings you're already having and removes the repetition and firefighting that eat your week. The live sessions (timing is on the Growth Program page) are where we work through the methodology, but the real change comes from what you apply between them. Like a gym: what you get out depends on what you put in.
ScaleUp gives you a coach in the room, not a consultant on the sidelines. A consultant solves a problem and leaves, but the team that created it hasn't changed, so the problem comes back. A ScaleUp coach works with your leadership team in a regular rhythm and teaches you how to run and grow the company yourselves. You keep the skills, the thinking, and the rhythm long after we step away.
The Growth Program works alongside your existing advisors, not against them. Advisors typically own a functional lane, whether finance, legal or M&A, while the Growth Program works on how your leadership team runs the company as a whole. That difference in altitude is why they rarely clash: most teams find the rhythm actually makes their advisors more effective, because there's finally one strategy and cadence for that specialist advice to plug into.
Most companies worried about size are a good fit. We work with founders and leadership teams of scaling companies that have hit a new level of complexity, through growth, leadership changes, or shifting markets. In practice that's usually a team of roughly 20–500 people with a functioning leadership team, but that range is a guide, not a gate: strong growth, new funding, a leadership change, or market shifts can make the fit right outside it.
No. You don't need a full executive team to start. A functioning leadership team can be a founder with two or three senior leaders; what matters is that there's a team to build with. The program is done with your leadership team, not to it, so a small, committed group beats a full org chart that isn't aligned.
No: the Growth Program doesn't lock you into a long-term contract. After the setup phase, the Heartbeat continues month to month, with no equity and no fixed term. We keep clients by being useful, not by binding them: if the rhythm is working you stay, and if it stops earning its place, you leave.
We're actively expanding, and we'd still like to hear from you. Get in touch and select "My country isn't listed yet". We'll tell you whether a market is opening near you and connect you with the nearest team in the meantime. And if you're an entrepreneur who has scaled a company yourself, opening ScaleUp in your country may be the better conversation: every market we have started that way.
The Growth Program delivers results in a predictable sequence. How fast they compound depends on the work your team puts in between sessions. It starts with clarity and diagnosis of your leadership alignment, strategy, and execution. Over the Setup Phase, we install your operating system: a one-page strategy that turns your long-term vision into one- and three-year priorities. Then the Heartbeat holds the quarterly and annual cadence that keeps them on track. The compounding effect is the real payoff. Over time, growth becomes less chaotic, more predictable, and more scalable.
Readiness isn't a prerequisite for the Growth Program, seriousness about growing is. The program is the structure that makes a company ready, not a reward for figuring it out first. The clearest sign of fit is a leadership team that feels growth outpacing the way the company runs. The Growth Program feels like too much?
